About MonitorHound

MonitorHound is an uptime monitoring platform built for developers and DevOps teams. We believe that monitoring should be straightforward, reliable, and affordable — not buried behind complex dashboards or enterprise sales calls.

Our mission

We are building the monitoring tool we always wanted: one that checks your services reliably, alerts you immediately when something breaks, and stays out of your way the rest of the time. No unnecessary complexity, no vanity metrics, no vendor lock-in.

What we monitor

MonitorHound covers the critical layers of your internet-facing infrastructure: HTTP endpoints, DNS records, and SSL certificates. Each monitor type is purpose-built to detect the specific failure modes that matter — not just "is it up?" but "is it responding correctly, quickly, and securely?"

How we are built

MonitorHound runs on Google Cloud Platform, with checks executed from multiple global locations. Our architecture is designed for reliability: distributed check execution, multi-location confirmation to reduce false positives, and independent alert delivery paths. We monitor our own infrastructure with MonitorHound — we eat our own dog food.

Our approach

We are a small, focused team that ships regularly and listens to feedback. We prioritize reliability and simplicity over feature count. Every feature we add must earn its place by solving a real problem for our users.
