1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the MonitorHound service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MonitorHound provides uptime monitoring for websites, APIs, DNS records, and SSL certificates. The Service includes check execution, alert notifications, and reporting features as described on our website and documentation.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You may only monitor URLs and hostnames that you own or have explicit permission to monitor. You may not use the Service to perform denial-of-service attacks, vulnerability scanning, or any activity that violates applicable laws. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate this policy.
5. Subscription and Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.
6. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible. We are not liable for damages resulting from service interruptions.
7. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of all data you provide to the Service, including monitor configurations and account information. We retain ownership of the Service, its software, and any aggregated or anonymized data derived from service usage.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MonitorHound shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
